Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Representing University President Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leodegario M. Jalos Jr. attended the Committee Hearing of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Marinduque on September 16, 2026, at the SP Session Hall Capitol Bangbangalon, Boac.

The hearing focused on Proposed Ordinance “An Ordinance Establishing the Marinduqueños Licensure Examination Assistance Program (MLEAP), Providing Financial Assistance on a Revolving Loan Basis to Qualified Graduates of Higher Education Institutions in the Province of Marinduque for Their Preparation and Taking of Professional Licensure Examnations, Prescribing Guidelines for Its Implementation, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and Other Purposes.”

Dr. Jalos participated in the discussion as a resource person, providing insights from the higher education sector in relation to the proposed program and its potential support for Marinduqueño graduates preparing for professional licensure examinations.

The committee hearing was jointly conducted by the Commitee on Education, Culture and Arts as lead committee, together with the Committee on Appropriations and the Committee on Rules, Law and Ordinances.
