About Us
The Health Services Unit of Marinduque State University (MarSU) is one of the student support service units under the Student Programs and Services of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS). The Unit is committed to promoting the health, wellness, and medical safety of students, faculty members, employees, and other stakeholders of the University through accessible, responsive, and quality healthcare services that support academic success and holistic well-being.
Composed of dedicated healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, dental practitioners, and support personnel, the Unit provides medical, dental, and emergency healthcare services across the University and its campuses. It ensures that members of the University community receive appropriate medical attention, preventive healthcare interventions, and health-related assistance necessary to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
The Health Services Unit provides a wide range of services including medical consultations, physical examinations, dental services, first aid treatment, release of medicines, emergency response assistance, ambulance services, and other health-related interventions essential to student welfare and institutional operations. It likewise supports University activities and student programs requiring medical clearance, health monitoring, and healthcare supervision.
As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and public health promotion, the Unit actively collaborates with government agencies, healthcare institutions, and partner organizations in the implementation of medical missions, blood donation drives, health awareness campaigns, disaster preparedness activities, and wellness programs that benefit both the University and the wider community.

Core Services
Medical Consultation Services
Provides basic medical consultations, health assessments, treatment recommendations, and healthcare assistance for students, employees, and University stakeholders.
Dental Services
Offers dental check-ups, oral health assessment, dental extraction, and other dental care services that promote oral hygiene and wellness.
Physical Examination Services
Conducts physical examinations and medical clearances for employment, student admission, scholarship applications, sports participation, on-the-job training deployment, and other institutional requirements.
First Aid and Emergency Response Services
Provides immediate first aid treatment, emergency medical assistance, and healthcare response during accidents, emergencies, and University activities.
Medicine Dispensing Services
Facilitates the proper release and monitoring of medicines and medical supplies for patients and authorized healthcare interventions.
Ambulance Services
Provides ambulance transport and emergency medical support for urgent healthcare situations and referral services within and outside the University.
Health Promotion and Wellness Programs
Conducts health awareness campaigns, wellness activities, blood donation drives, medical missions, and public health programs in partnership with healthcare agencies and organizations.
