Cavite, Philippines — As part of its commitment to strengthening research commercialization and technology transfer, a delegation from Marinduque State University (MarSU) conducted a Commercial Readiness Assessment (CRA) at Cavite State University (CvSU) on June 29, 2026 and Batangas State University (BatStateU) on June 30, 2026 under the DOST-IPTBM RAISE Phase 2 Project.
The CRA activities provided MarSU with the opportunity to assess the commercialization readiness of its technologies and learn from the experiences of partner institutions in managing intellectual property, technology transfer, and innovation commercialization. At CvSU, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Teddy F. Tepora, Head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Division, while at BatStateU, the discussions were facilitated by Dr. Leandro A. Dalhag, Assistant Director of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Management (KTTM) Office.
The MarSU delegation was led by Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, together with Engr. Ana Fe N. Molato, Ms. Krezhia Mae S. Jalipa, Ms. Geraldine M. Nambio, Ms. Elvie N. Mirones, Engr. Bryan B. Jaranilla, Mr. Wilmer M. Pascual, and Ms. Ella Joy S. Marbello.
The two-day engagement reinforces MarSU’s continuing efforts to enhance its innovation ecosystem by strengthening institutional capacities in intellectual property management, technology transfer, and the commercialization of research outputs. Insights gained from the CRA will contribute to the University’s initiatives in translating research and innovations into technologies and solutions that generate meaningful impact for communities, industries, and the broader society.
