Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) marked its 74th Founding Anniversary through a Flag Raising Ceremony and Commemorative Program on Monday, carrying the theme, “MarSU at 74: Growing Stronger, Achieving Higher.”

The opening segment of the celebration was hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, together with the Bids and Awards Committee, Procurement Unit, and Supply Unit.

A commemorative program followed, featuring an audio-visual presentation that traced the university’s history and milestones, as well as messages from employees and stakeholders. University President Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta delivered the anniversary message, emphasizing the importance of honoring MarSU’s journey while continuing to strengthen current initiatives and prepare for future growth. He also encouraged the university community to work collectively toward an even more meaningful milestone as MarSU approaches its 75th founding anniversary in 2027.

As part of the celebration, university officials led a symbolic walk to Cong. Panfilo Manguera Park for a flower-offering ceremony. Offices and colleges also presented hygiene kits in support of the university’s advocacy.

The anniversary program concluded with a photo opportunity and a simple ‘salo-salo’ at the university lounge, bringing employees together in a shared celebration of MarSU’s legacy, achievements, and continuing commitment to excellence.
