Pasay City, Philippines — On May 19, Marinduque State University (MarSU) President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, joined fellow University Presidents from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) for the SUC-IAUs CAPDEV 2026 Executive Briefing held at the Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila in Pasay City.
The program opened with preliminary activities and welcome remarks from Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, President of Tarlac State University. CHED Commissioner Honorable Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing the importance of internal control in advancing the CHED ACHIEVE Agenda and improving SUC operations nationwide.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions on the principles and concepts of internal control, legal foundations, auditing standards, frameworks, and the roles and responsibilities of Internal Audit Units. Resource speakers from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Central Office lead the learning sessions and open forums.
The executive briefing concluded with awarding ceremonies, closing activities, and the presentation of certificates to participating SUC officials and delegates.
