Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The Marinduque State University (MarSU) community came together for the weekly flag-raising ceremony, hosted by the College of Business Administration (CBA) under the leadership of Dean Dr. Verna Liza L. Capiña, today, April 20, 2026, in front of the Administration Building, MarSU Boac Campus.

University President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta delivered an inspiring message, highlighting the recent National Culture and Arts Festival held in Iloilo City. He proudly congratulated the delegates, coaches, and staff for their dedication and achievements.

Meanwhile, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Leodegario Jalos, shared key academic reminders as the semester draws to a close. He urged students and faculty to prepare for the upcoming final examinations and highlighted the importance of student internship practices. He also reminded the faculty members and students about the Teaching Effectiveness Evaluation for Academic Year 2025–2026.

Dr. Jalos further called for early preparations for the moving-up ceremony and commencement exercises, as well as readiness for the full implementation of online classes. He also stressed the importance of verifying information and encouraged the community to remain vigilant against the spread of misinformation.

In addition, Dr. Romulo A. Malvar, CARES Head, announced that the Marinduque Public Employment Service Office will conduct a job fair on May 1, 2026, at the MarSU Gymnasium. The event aims to provide employment opportunities for graduates and job seekers in the province.

 

As the colors of our flag were raised high this Monday morning, the ceremony once again reminded the MarSU community of the values we hold dear in service to the nation.
