Santa Cruz, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) President Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta took part in the Committee Meeting of the Sangguniang Bayan of Santa Cruz on October 5, 2026, at the SB Conference Room.
The meeting, chaired by Hon. Justin R. Rodil, Chairperson of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Livestock, centered on the proposed resolution authorizing Municipal Mayor Hon. Marisa Red-Martinez to enter into a Multilateral Agreement with MarSU and other concerned agencies for the effective implementation of the “Marinduque’s Aqua Silviculture as a Natural Key Livelihood Asset for the Fisherfolks (MANAKLA) Project.”
Together with PDPZ were Vice President for Research and Extension Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blase, Director for Research and Extension Dr. Evangeline M. Mandia, and Mr. Regie F. Mampusti. Also present were members of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Livestock, other members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Santa Cruz, and representatives from other concerned agencies.
The meeting provided an avenue for the participating offices and agencies to discuss, clarify, and consider the provisions of the proposed agrement, particularly the respective roles and commitments of the partner institutions in carrying out the project.
Through this collaborative effort, MarSU and the Municipality of Santa Cruz continue to strengthen partnerships that support sustainable livelihood initiatives, research and extension efforts, and community development—particularly for fisherfolk communities.
