Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The community of Barangay Laylay witnessed the official launch of Binhi para sa mga Bata, a community extension program dedicated to promoting hygiene, health, and care for children. The initiative, held at Brgy. Laylay, Boac on July 4, 2026, aims to plant the “seeds of wellness” among the youth by instilling lifelong habits of cleanliness, nutrition, and holistic care.
It may be recalled that on June 23, 2026, during the celebration of MarSU’s 74th Founding Anniversary, university employees donated hygiene kits to 200 school children in Laylay. This act of generosity was undertaken as part of the activities for the 2nd Conversion Anniversary of Marinduque State University. The donated kits later became a significant component of the Binhi para sa mga Bata program in line with the university’s continuing service to the community.
The launch was marked by strong community participation, with families, educators, local officials, and advocates joining hands to ensure that every child in Laylay grows with the foundation of proper hygiene, sound health, and compassionate care.
