Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, delivered a message during the 2026 International Spring Convergence on Gastronomic Tourism, Food Diplomacy, and Sustainability, held on April 28, 2026, via Zoom and hosted by Quirino State University.

The international convergence gathered academic leaders, researchers, and global partners to explore the intersections of culinary heritage, food diplomacy, and sustainability, emphasizing collaboration across nations and disciplines.

In his message, PDPZ underscored the unifying power of food as a shared human experience that transcends culture and geography, while also serving as a vessel of identity, history, and resilience.

Highlighting the urgency of global challenges such as climate change, food insecurity, and cultural preservation, he emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovation, and inclusive development through education and international partnerships.
