Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) Board of Regents successfully held its 7th Regular Meeting (1st Quarter of 2026) on March 31, 2026, via Zoom, with the majority of agenda items favorably acted upon by the body.

Among the matters passed by the Governing Board for implementation were the commencement of public bidding for the CASS building, the Annual Investment Program and Budget Proposal for FY 2027, appointment and faculty scholarships, revised curriculum of various academic programs, and memoranda of agreement with international partners and various agencies for the implementation of research, extension, linkages, and OJT/internship programs of the university.

The meeting was presided over by CHED Commissioner and MarSU BOR Chair Hon. Desiderio R. Apag III and attended by University President and BOR Vice Chair Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta; Ms. Maria Bettina M. Fernandez, representative of Sen. Loren Legarda; Hon. Agustin C. Mendoza, DEPDev Regional Director; Hon. Joy R. Profugo, Faculty Regent; Hon. Nolasco P. Revilla, Student Regent; Private Sector Representatives Hon. Carina J. Motol and Hon. Fr. Ian R. Retardo; and Ms. Liza B. Punsalan, representative of Cong. Reynaldo P. Salvacion, along with other university officials who served as resource persons.
