Marinduque, Philippines — The Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF) staff conducted a thorough inspection, tagging, and turnover of equipment procured under two key projects at the Marinduque State University (MarSU) campuses—Boac (Main Campus), Sta. Cruz, Gasan, and Torrijos, February 26-28, 2025. This was after paying a courtesy visit to MarSU President Diosdado P. Zulueta who enthusiastically endorsed the activity.

The first project, the Php 9.5m “𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘴,” aims to upgrade the university’s laboratory facilities to enhance hands-on learning of Engineering students. It includes several pieces of equipment such as 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 with 𝗔𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 and 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗲, 𝗛𝗗𝗟 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and an 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗼𝗧 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺.

The second project worth Php 15m: “𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 (𝘓𝘔𝘚) 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴,” includes 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻s for all students and faculty with email services, collaboration tools, data storage, analytics, and additional 𝟭𝟰𝟰 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 with webcams and headsets to support online learning & instruction in all campuses of MarSU.

Engr. Desiree T. Malalad, the proponent of these projects, played a vital role in their successful implementation, reinforcing MarSU’s commitment to improving its academic infrastructure and digital learning environment.
