Quezon City, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) proudly participated in the 1st Quarter Regional Gender and Development (GAD) Committee Meeting held on February 18, 2026 at La Breza Hotel, Quezon City.

The meeting presided by Dr. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, RGADC MIMAROPA Chairperson and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) MIMAROPA Regional Director, gathered representatives from state universities and colleges, government agencies, and partner institutions to strengthen regional collaboration on gender mainstreaming initiatives.

MarSU’s attendance through its GAD Champion, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, underscored its commitment to advancing inclusive policies, promoting gender-responsive programs, and aligning institutional efforts with national GAD priorities.

The agenda highlights include the review and approval of the RGADC MIMAROPA–PCW Work Plan for Calendar Year 2026, creation of Technical Working Group to support the committee’s initiatives, preparations for the upcoming 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration, best practices in Gender and Development (GAD) from various agencies, and presentation of RGADC MIMAROPA Accomplishment Report for CY 2025.

MarSU’s presence highlighted its continuing commitment to advancing gender-responsive programs, promoting inclusivity, and aligning institutional efforts with national GAD priorities. Through its active engagement, the university reaffirmed its role as a proactive partner in fostering equity, empowerment, and sustainable development across the higher education sector.
